...Me! Me!! ME!!!

I'm Prodhi...you can call me Prod.
I'm a YA reader/reviewer/ other than that, I'm a nutcase gone awry. Yes, I'm insane so to speak:) I'd say I'm a girl next door, but I'm much better off without a Pinocchio nose, thank you very much. I'm a pretty fun chica, I guess. I also realize that this About Me section doesn't do the three dimensions of my character justice. Or four. Or five. Or six. Oh shooh!

...Contact moi, Lovelies.

Bloggers and readers, if you have anything to say to me, here: prodhi@live.com. YA authors who would like me to review their books, I'll be more than honoured. Contact me at the same address.

    My First Award!:D
    OMGIGOTANAWARD!
This was a huge thing for me, knowing that my blog is being read AND liked. I'm on cloud nine *spaces out*.
Annnyways, I got this award from MissAttitude of Reading in Color. Her blog celebrates multicultural YA fiction, which I believe really do deserve a lot more attention. Check out her blog--it's amazing!
    Here's the beautiful award:

It's called the Lemonade Award (love the name!). The Lemonade Award is a feel good award that shows great attitude or gratitude. Nominate this award to 10 blogs. My nominations in random order are:

Kristen from Bookworming in the 21st Century

Caroline from One Book Away From Heaven

Katie from Another Book Blog Whore

    Lizzy from Cornucopia of Reviews

    Laura from Laura's Review Bookshelf

    Kelsey from The Book Scout

    Sarah from Sarah's Random Musings

    Liyana from Liyanaland

    Stephanie from Steph Su Reads

    Kate from Neverending Shelf

    Go and nominate as well!

    Whiner's Wednesday
Welcome to another week of Whiner's Wednesday! Prepare to bear with me as I rant and rave about the upcoming books that I'm drooling over.

I Kissed a Zombie and I Liked It by Adam Selzer

Algonquin “Ali” Rhodes, the high school newspaper’s music critic, meets an intriguing singer, Doug, while reviewing a gig. He’s a weird-looking guy—goth, but he seems sincere about it, like maybe he was into it back before it was cool. She introduces herself after the set, asking if he lives in Cornersville, and he replies, in his slow, quiet murmur, “Well, I don’t really live there, exactly. . . .”

When Ali and Doug start dating, Ali is falling so hard she doesn’t notice a few odd signs: he never changes clothes, his head is a funny shape, and he says practically nothing out loud. Finally Marie, the school paper’s fashion editor, points out the obvious: Doug isn’t just a really sincere goth. He’s a zombie. Horrified that her feelings could have allowed her to overlook such a flaw, Ali breaks up with Doug, but learns that zombies are awfully hard to get rid of—at the same time she learns that vampires, a group as tightly-knit as the mafia, don’t think much of music critics who make fun of vampires in reviews. . . .

It's unique and it sounds fun. What more could I want?

Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver

What if you had only one day to live? What would you do? Who would you kiss? And how far would you go to save your own life?

Samantha Kingston has it all—looks, popularity, the perfect boyfriend. Friday, February 12th should be just another day in her charmed life. Instead, it’s her last. The catch: Samantha still wakes up the next morning. In fact, she re-lives the last day of her life seven times, until she realizes that by making even the slightest changes, she may hold more power than she had ever imagined.

    Sounds yummy.

In A Heartbeat by Loretta Ellsworth

Story of a heart transplant told in alternating chapters between two girls: the heart transplant recipient and the heart transplant donor. When Eagan dies during a figure skating competition, Amelia receives her heart, but when she experiences new personality traits, she questions whether she's received more than just a heart.

Sounds like a book I can remember forever.

That's it for now. Three books to look forward to this week...whew! Stay tuned next week for more though;)
